And it was pretty bloody good. I reccomend it to all who are physically and financially able. Like the hajj, but in worship of the one true hot sauce instead of the one true god.

I did that once on a bet...wasn't bad going in. Going out... :/ But for 25 bucks I guess it was worth it, what can I say I was 16.

25 bucks? Damn, that's a good deal.

Meh. That stuff tastes bad because of the manky peppers they use, and it's not even all that hot. If you have to put it on your food it's up to you, but there's no way you're getting away with calling it the 'one true sauce'.

Tasty as fuck isn't it? Easiest money I've ever made.

You sounded super impassioned in that last bit. Like Liam Neeson chastising a baddie.

Frank's Red Hot is better! Someone had to say it.

Never heard of that before. I'll have to give it a try sometime.

It's a burning passion... Bdum-tsh.
You should try my wife's recipe for hot sauce. Fill a blender with scotch bonnet peppers, add a lime or two, a couple of heads of garlic, loads of green seasonings - plenty of coriander, chives, parsley, etc, some chadon beni if you can get it, and all the other herbs in smaller quantities - and some mixed spices, sugar, salt, and whatever other flavourings spring to mind at the time. Then blend it, although you may need a gas mask for that step. It tastes great, but be careful - if done right it makes Tabasco seem like water.

It's not as hot as Tabasco, but it has more flavor.

This is a better sauce. Much more flavor. Try it.

Yum, how did that mildly seasoned vinegar taster again?

I know a lot of folks around here swear by the stuff, but I also know that a lot of folks around here are very, um... "Louisiana-centric". What's important is if it tastes good to you. Everybody's got a favorite, and there's always going to be plenty of folks that will argue that their's is better than yours.

I like Tabasco but not "neat".
Try one of these from Cholula. I've pretty much forgotten Tabasco since I found it.

Love that stuff. I use it for a lot of Cuban and Cajun, black beans and rice and the like. Little bit more of a body to it than Tabasco. But now I sound pretentious.

Great.

Its so salty though, same with the Tabasco sauce and a lot of other mass marketed hot sauces (Louisiana's). Thats why siracha and authentic spanish pepper sauces are my go to's for bumping the flavour up a notch or two, its flavourful without the salt taste

That's a pretty accurate description of the stuff, actually. It's pretty hot.
